Team PR Report

Bristow, VA(January 23, 2012) — Jonathan Findley, 14, of Bristow, Va. is making a career move on and off the track for the 2013 season. He will be climbing out of his familiar INEX Bandolero and into a NASCAR Whelen All American Series Late Model.

He will be doing so with the support of BK Racing, a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team, as their first developmental driver.

“We want Jonathan to race as many tracks possible for the next year or two in the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Model series, said Ron Devine, owner and president of BK Racing. “He will be able to continue to grow as a driver by competing against some of the best talent in the region. We are happy to have him as part of the BK Racing family.”

In 2013, Findley will drive the No. 83 Race to Volunteer Toyota Late Model powered by Burger King and owned by AJ Motor Sports of Culpeper, Va. AJ Motor Sports has partnered with the Race To Volunteer program to help deliver their message for the continued need of volunteer fire and rescue providers throughout the country.

Findley has been racing for more than three years and during that time, has racked up just over 70 wins as an INEX Bandolero driver. He also won his first start in the Pro 4 modified division at the end of the 2012 season.

He has also earned championships two years in-a-row at his home tack of Old Dominion Speedway in Manassas, Va. In 2012, Findley finished fifth in national points, while competing in the INEX Bandolero Outlaw division and earned the Virginia State Championship for a third straight year.

“I am very grateful for the support of BK Racing and especially the support from Mr. Devine” Findley said. “I am looking forward to traveling and competing at many of the tracks in the Mid-Atlantic region and continuing to grow as a driver. My goal for 2013 is to improve one race at a time.”
