Myrtle Beach, SC(December 21, 2012) – Myrtle Beach Speedway will host the Coastal-Pee Dee Super Truck Series on five occasions in 2013. The Coastal-Pee Dee Super Truck Series will also visit other tracks in the Carolinas in its second tour.
“I feel the trucks are an added addition to the great racing we present during the racing season,” Bob Lutz, Myrtle Beach Speedway track owner, said in a speedway press release. “Many fans have expressed the enjoyment of seeing the pick-ups race at the historic facility and we are giving them just that.”
“We have a great group of racers who supported the Coastal-Pee Dee Series in our inaugural year and are ready to race in 2013,” Kevin Parsons, who heads the series, said in a speedway press release.
The trucks run V-8 engines and are purpose built tube chassis race vehicles with fiberglass bodies.
