Taylorsville, NC (January 7th, 2011) — After a successful inaugural season in 2010 that saw Chris Chapman take the series first championship, officials at the Southeast Limited Late Model Series have released there eight race schedule for 2011.

I know your thinking eight races? So was I when I saw it but for a series that is still growing and doesn’t want to take cars away from weekly tracks, its the best schedule possible. The series first date will be the weekend of March 12th. The date is still TBA, but it isn’t expected to be Hickory, Anderson or South Boston as those tracks already have the PASS South, UARA or there weekly series going on. The series then heads to the Coastal Plains Raceway in Jacksonville, NC. This is the first visit to the track and promises to be a exciting one. The last time a touring Late Model series visited was the UARA-STARS back in 2008 and the race put on was an exciting one to say the least. You won’t want to miss this race as it promises to be yet another great one for the SouthEast Limited Late Model Series.

The series then takes a two and a half month break until July 4th weekend when they head to the tight bullring in Dillon, SC. Another new stop for the tour promises to bring action and excitement as Dillon Motor Speedway always puts on a good show and without the UARA-STARS Series returning there this season, this race will be a big one for the 4/10 mile track.

Another two month break finds the series visiting the Anderson Motor Speedway in Anderson, SC on September 17th. The track that didn’t have any touring Late Model series’ visit in 2010 now has three, the PASS South Series, UARA STARS and now the Southeast Limited Late Models make there first visit to the track in the upstate of South Carolina.

The series returns to the tight confines of Ace Speedway in 2011 after an exciting and controversial visit in 2010. Ryan Robertson crossed the line first, but it was Jesse Little who was given the win after Robertson failed post race tech inspection. Ace always puts on a great show, no matter what series is there and even for weekly shows and there is no reason why this isn’t going to be another exciting race.

The series makes its second trip to the Coastal Plains Raceway which is a track with the two dates that will play a pivotal role in who wins the points championship. Racing on this track is much similar to the fast paced confines of Concord Speedway and is certain to change the complexion of the points battle.

Florence Motor Speedway, the track that hosted the inaugural race for the series last year returns in 2011 with the second to last date on the schedule. With the Fall Classic already going on, it was a no-brainier for Charlie Powell and Florence Motor Speedway to bring the SELLM during the weekend of November 6th. After the race the SouthEast Limited Late Models put on in 2010, Florence will likely be the talk of the town after the series makes the trip back to Florence, SC..

The final race of the season brings the series back to Myrtle Beach Speedway, the track and race weekend that by all accounts gave birth to the SouthEast Limited Late Models in 2009. The big Limited race spawned the idea for the SouthEast Limited Late Model Series and after a record number of cars attempted the series final race of 2010, Myrtle Beach will be another tough challenge as teams and drivers try to survive the one hundred lap event. This will settle the points battle and bring forth the second ever champion for the budding young series, which embarks on its second season.

There you have it, the 2011 schedule for the Southeast Limited Late Models is now out.
