PELETIER, NC – An action packed weekend of racing is right around the corner at Bobby Watson’s Carteret County Speedway with the second running of the 4-Cylinder Nationals, organized by the Carolina Mini-Stock Challenge.

Over 40 drivers have registered to compete in the $1,500-to-win Mini-Stock race which headlines the 4-Cylinder Nationals with competitors coming from Illinois, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts to take on North Carolina and Virginia’s best Mini-Stock racers and Carteret County Speedway hometown favorites.

The 4-Cylinder Nationals will host five other divisions on Saturday in what promises to be one of the biggest events in speedway history.

SCHEDULE:

10am – Practice, 12:45pm – Qualfiying, 2pm – Mini-Stock heat races, 3:45pm – Pre-race ceremonies, 4pm – Green Flag; Race order: Jr. Mini Cup – 15 laps, Mod-4 – 25 laps, Street Stock – 40 laps, Bombers – 15 laps, Sr. Mini Cup – 50 laps, Champ Kart – 25 laps, Mini-Stock – 100 laps.

Saturday’s 4-Cylinder Nationals will be the first event at Carteret County Speedway since September.

As a result of Governor Roy Cooper’s executive order limiting mass gatherings, attendance at the 4-Cylinder Nationals will be limited to trackside parking and pit passes only.  The grandstands will be closed for the event.  Perimeter seating will be allowed along the trackside parking area with personal chairs.
