After being moved from its original date in April, the prestigious $30,000-to-win Old North State Nationals for the Solid Rock Carriers CARS LMSC Tour will take place at Greenville-Pickens Speedway instead of Orange County Speedway.
The CARS LMSC Tour had previously announced their intention to keep the event at Orange County with a target date of Oct. 18, but ongoing COVID-19 restrictions in the state of North Carolina made it impossible for the Old North State Nationals to take place at the facility.
Greenville-Pickens will now host the event on the weekend of Oct. 23-25, which will still reward the winner with a $30,000 paycheck. An additional $2,000 will be rewarded to the driver who leads at lap 50, 100 and 150.
Lee Pulliam enters the 2020 Old North State Nationals as the defending winner of the event after he led 26 laps and held off a hard charge from 2017 series champion Josh Berry in an intense battle during the closing stages.
The lone CARS LMSC Tour race at Greenville-Pickens took place back in 2016, which saw veteran Tommy Lemons Jr. take home the checkered flag after he passed Chad McCumbee with nine laps remaining.
More details about the CARS LMSC Tour finale at Greenville-Pickens will be announced in the coming days.
