Entering Saturday’s VisitHampton.com 125 fifth in the Solid Rock Carriers CARS LMSC Tour point standings, Corey Heim began his charge to chase down Jared Fryar by earning the pole for the Late Model feature at Langley Speedway.
Heim is over one month removed from nearly taking home a checkered flag in the prestigious Hampton Heat 200 at the track, but was denied a chance at the win after a late-race collision between him and Connor Hall.
Starting on the outside of the front row will be Layne Riggs, who nearly broke his winless streak in the CARS LMSC Tour last season at Langley until he and Bobby McCarty tangled in Turn 3 on the last lap, which gave the victory to Deac McCaskill.
Two-time ValleyStar Credit Union 300 winner Timothy Peters will line up in the third position, with Brandon Pierce and Grayson Cullather completing the Top 5 starters.
