The Annual ValleyStar Credit Union 300 takes place on Saturday, October 5th but the drivers and teams will get their usual day of testing nine days ahead of the event on Thursday, September 26th.
Testing for the ValleyStar 300 is typically a six-hour session beginning at 4:00pm and running until after the lights come on and ending around 10:00pm. Though this year’s test day schedule has not been released yet.
With this being the only chance teams have to get laps on the Ridgeway, VA half-mile, it’s vital to the drivers and teams to get as much track time as possible. More than 80 teams are expected to take part in testing.
The changes made by Martinsville Speedway heading into this year’s event has teams and drivers excited about the event again. Those changes include an increased winners purse and more money for the top finishers as well as reverting back to single-car qualifying and taking the top 20 qualifiers among other changes.
RACE22.com will once again have RACEDAY LIVE updates of everything that happens at Martinsville Speedway for the ValleyStar 300. That includes live updates with text, photos, and videos of test day, practice/qualifying day and race day.
