Concord Speedway had been rumored to have been sold for over a month now but nothing official had been released until today when track officials made a couple of posts on their Facebook page.
The first post stated that the track would not be hosting a fall season on the 1/4 mile track for Legends and Bandoleros. The second post was a message from track marketing director Jennifer Campbell thanking all the competitors, staff and etc. for their support and stating that the sale of the track is expected to be finalized later this month.
No other official details are available at this time but rumors have circulated heavily that CoPart is the buyer and that the facility is expected to become a salvage yard. RACE22.com will update any information when it is official.
