Craig Moore took his third late model win of the season in a 75 lap event at Orange County Speedway on Saturday night. Moore easily outdistanced Terry Dease and Chris Denny to extend his lead in the division point standings.
“I was beginning to think we weren’t going to win again” , the hometown winner stated.
Moore won two races back in April and hadn’t won since. Denny started from the pole and led early, but was no match for the flying Moore once the race reached its middle stages.
Barry Beggarly Jr. edged Layne Riggs by half a car length to take the 35 lap Limited Sportsman feature. It was the Pelham driver’s first ever win at the track. He out battled Riggs and Boo Boo Dalton to take the triumph. Riggs took over the class point lead over Chuck Lawson who crashed while battling Riggs for the lead.
