Super Late Model driver Trevor Noles is without a ride after he and Coulter Motorsports agreed to part ways.
Noles confirmed to RACE22.com on Tuesday evening that he and Coulter Motorsports have parted ways, leaving him without a ride for Saturday night’s Championship Auto Racing Series (CARS) Super Late Model Tour race at Southern National Motorsports Park – the track where he scored his lone victory in the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) southern Super Late Model tour in 2014.
“I have enjoyed racing in the CARS Tour this year,” Noles said in a statement. “It has brought great competition to the Super Late Model class. I have been fortunate enough to race against some of the best drivers in the country and finish in the top-10 in both CARS races I’ve raced in this year. Unfortunately, we won’t be racing this weekend with the CARS Tour as last weekend was our last Super Late Model race with Coulter Motorsports. We teamed up with crew chief Randy Renfrow and Coulter Motorsports back at the end of 2012, ran a full season of Pro Late Model races in 2013 and won the championship. Last year, we ran the full season of Super Late Model races with the PASS Series where I finished sixth in overall points.”
Despite parting ways, Noles had nothing but good things to say about Coulter Motorsports and Randy Renfrow.
“Renfrow’s a great crew chief with a ton of racing knowledge,” Noles’ statement continued. “Even though both parties agreed to end the racing relationship based on irreconcilable differences, the friendship will continue. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many family, friends, fans, supporters, sponsors, crew members and all the new friends we’ve made along the way when racing with Coulter Motorsports. It has been a great run since 2012 but, as with most good things, they must eventually come to an end. We hold so many fond racing memories and we will be forever grateful to Randy and his crew. I don’t know where my racing career will go from here but who knows what opportunities may arrive.”
Saturday night’s CARS Tour race at Southern National Motorsports Park is sponsored by Military Missions in Action, a non-profit foundation based out of Noles’ hometown, Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, which works with America’s wounded warriors. Noles partnered with Military Missions in Action in 2014 and said it was a wonderful thing that the CARS Tour has teamed up with them for Saturday night’s race.
