KNOXVILLE, TN :: Chad Finchum added two more wins to his 2014 win total with a sweep of twin Late Model races at Kingsport Speedway on Friday night.  Finchum led every single lap in both races to collect his 11th and 12th wins of the season.

Finchum qualified on the pole with a 15.               058 second lap and led wire-to-wire in the first race to score the victory.  Following the race, the top two finishers were inverted.  Finchum started the second race on the outside line and took the lead on the first lap of the race and went on to lead every single lap once again to complete the sweep.

“Friday was really good for us,” Finchum said.  “Everything was perfect.  I couldn’t ask for a better night.  I just couldn’t be more grateful to this awesome crew and to everyone who’s supported us.  It’s great to be back in winning form.”

Finchum raced at Lonesome Pine on Saturday evening in twin races as well where he finished in sixth and in second in spite of having to go to a backup car after blowing an engine in practice.

“Saturday was a bad night.  We blew our engine in the second lap of practice and went to a backup car.  We just couldn’t get that car to handle but we were able to come away with a second place finish out of it.”

Finchum’s wins allowed him to maintain second place in the Kingsport Speedway track championship standings.  Finchum continues to maintain a narrow points lead in Lonesome Pine Raceway’s track championship standings.  To date, he has 12 wins and 22 top-five finishes on the season.
