Asheboro, NC — The final event of the year kicked off Sunday afternoon with the running of the Jerry Hunt Auto Sales Turkey Special. In the 50 Lap Sportsman event Rookie Zack Clifton of Walkertown captured his first career win. Carl Auman of High Point, Noah Triplett of Lexington, Kenny Bost of Lexington and Dan Discepoli of Greensboro rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 50 Lap Bib’s Downtown Mini Stock event Chuck Wall of Walkertown took home the win. Track Champion Andrew Sanders of Mocksville brought home second. AJ Sanders of Mocksville, Michael Wells of Winston Salem and Jason Tutterow of Lexington rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 50 Lap A Plus Auto Sales Street Stock event Gary Ledbetter of Lexington took home the win. Bobby Grimes of High Point, Allen Vance of Randleman, Brian Love and Danny Brewer of Lexington rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 50 Lap Auto & Metal Recycler U-Car event Tommy Williams of Asheboro captured the win. Thomas McCoy of Asheboro, Ben Walker of Lexington, Sean Grant of Asheboro and Justin Hicks of Asheboro rounded out the top five finishers.
In the 50 Lap Full Throttle Super Mini Truck event Rookie Tyler McDonald of Lexington took home the win. Toney Henderson of Asheboro, Anthony Bennett of Asheboro, Chris McDonald of Lexington and Steve Collins of Asheboro round out the top five finishers.
The awards banquet will be held at the Clarion Hotel Greensboro Airport on January 14, 2012. Tickets are available by contacting the speedway office at 336-629-5803. The top five in each division will be honored with a special dinner and awards ceremony.
