Joey Throckmorton dominated opening weekend last Saturday at South Boston Speedway and this week he was able to do it again with a total domination from practice to the checkered flag on the first Limited Late Model race and after starting mid-pack due to a track rule for winning two races in a row he rallied to win again.

Throckmorton paced both practice sessions and put his car on the pole for the first of twin 25-lap races.  From there he led every lap of the first twin 25-lap race.  The race saw only one caution which was a competition caution that was announced at the drivers meeting which would wave in any race if they went more than 75% of the race without a caution.  Throckmorton continued his domination all the way to the checkered flag without any challenges for the top spot.

Mike Jones would finish second ahead of David Latour, Jr., Calvin Meadows and Tommy Peregoy rounded out the top five finishers.

Jones would lead the field to the green flag in race two as the field was set by the finish of the first race minus Throckmorton who had to start sixth due to a track rule that places the winner of two consecutive races mid-pack for the start of the next race.  Jones would take the green flag and set sail into the lead early with Tommy Peregoy, who finished sixth in the first race, running in second position early.

They would run that way through lap four until Jones hit pit road and was done for the day.  Peregoy inherited the lead but Throckmorton was on a mission to the front of the pack.  Throckmorton would soon catch and then on lap 12 pass Peregoy for the top spot.  A competition caution would wave once again for the race going 75% of the scheduled distance without a caution.  Throckmorton would restart with the lead and never relinquished it as he picked up his third win of the young season.

Throckmorton would be followed to the finish line by Peregoy who finished over a full second behind Throckmorton for his best finish of the season.  Daniel Moss, Chambers and Latour would round out the top five finishers.
