McCallister Precision Marketing (MPM) and Nesbitt Racing Enterprises announce another top 10 for 15-year-old Texas driver, Cole Glasson, in the highly competitive Southeast Super Truck Series. Cole entered the 11th race of the season sitting in the 3rd position in the championship, just two points out of 2nd. While he would leave in the same position, he lost a few valuable points, which will cause 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the points to be decided in the last race of the season. Cole has put together a solid streak of qualifying in the top 5, 11 straight races and posted his 9th top 10 of the season in his 11 starts.

Glasson would make a statement right out of the gate posting the fastest time of the session and would remain on top of the charts throughout all three practice sessions. He felt confidant going into qualifying and based on his first lap, he was headed for his 2nd pole of the season; until a brush with the wall cost him valuable time resulting in a 5th place starting spot. The start of the race also presented a challenge when contact was made with another competitor on an aggressive move that spun him and sent Glasson to the back of the field. After charging from 16th position up to 6th, a problem with his brakes caused him to lose momentum. Though his brakes remained an issue the remainder of the race, Glasson ended up with a 9th place finish.

Glasson stated, “The team provided a really fast truck however, the incident with the wall and also an aggressive move I made at the beginning, cost us in the long run when we lost our brakes.” He went on to thank his sponsors of Starkey Mortgage, ProSoap, AM Technical Solutions, MPM Marketing, Driven Steering Wheels, K1RaceGear, Dallas Karting Complex, Comet Cleaners, and Real Sports Websites.

Tonya McCallister, Glasson’s agent, said, “Obviously, Cole was disappointed with the results so we will use this as an opportunity to grow and focus our attention on a runner up position, at Tri County”. Martin Nesbitt, Team owner, went on to say, “We were disappointed with the qualifying and race outcome after being really fast all weekend but we are setting our sights on Tri County and obtaining our first win of the year.”
