MYRTLE BEACH, SC :: Kyle Grissom was the next car to go a lap down when the caution flag flew for the lap 100 break.  Grissom would use that to his advantage to rocket to the lead with only 25 laps left to claim the first victory for the PASS South Series at the Myrtle Beach Speedway, and the first Super Late Model victory since 2004.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, Johnny Sauter would make a return to the PASS South Series on Saturday night and set fast time during qualifying. During the re-draw, Sauter would draw pile number two and start on the outside of Jay Fogleman.  Suater would claim the lead on lap two and would go on to lead much of the first hundred laps.  Sauter would eventually fade to third and finish there.

Jay Fogleman would start on the pole following the redraw and would fall to the fifth in the running order.  Foglean would work his way back to the front and challenge Sauter for the race lead, eventually taking it from him.  Fogleman would then surender the lead to a charging Ben Rowe who made his way to the front from the 12th starting position.  Fogleman would drop to fourth in the final fifty laps while Rowe would fall to seventh.

Last week’s winner, Austin Theriault would follow Kyle Grissom to the front following the lap 100 break.  Theriault was a few more laps away from going a lap down at the break, but said after the race, there was no way he was gonna challenge the race leaders that early.  Theriault would close in on Grissom in the final handful of laps, but lap traffic would help Grissom pull away with two laps to go.

The PASS South Super Late Model Series takes two weeks off following two weeks of racing and returns to action on March 30th for the 8th Annual Easter Bunny 150 at the Hickory Motor Speedway, one of the biggest events on the tour.  Over forty cars are expected to come to challenge Kyle Grissom and Austin Theriault for the race win.

As always, RACE22.com will have more from the Bash at the Beach later this week, with photos, Power Rankings and Post Race Interivews.
