RALEIGH, NC :: After a historic opening year, The New Wake County Speedway is racing into the 2014 season with a very rich opportunity for both fans and drivers.

The chance to win $500,000.

The Simpkins Road speedway is hosting a 2014 “RACE TO RICHE$” giving fans and eligible drivers a shot at half-a-million dollars in prize money.

Race track president Adam Resnick said the event is a way for the speedway to thank every fan in the bleachers and all the drivers behind the wheel for their continued support.

During every Friday night race between April and September, one lucky fan will get an entry into the annual prize drawing along with every racer on the ¼ mile track.

The drawing will be held at The New Wake County Speedway’s year-end banquet on Nov. 7 at Rush Hour Karting, located at 5335 Raynor Rd in neighboring Garner.

One lucky winner will be drawn and receive a $500 cash prize and the chance to win $500,000.

The winner must be in attendance at the banquet to claim their cash prize and chance at riches. In addition, any driver drawn must have competed in 75% of speedway races or raced during Wake County Speedway’s special Super Late Model event on August 30.

If the lucky winner meets all eligibilities, they will get a chance to choose one bag out of 100, with one of the 100 bags holding a $500,000 prize.
