Due to an unfavorable forecast of rain and cool temps, this Saturday’s Spring Explosion at Concord Speedway has been canceled.

The next race on the schedule for the Southern Modified Racing Series will take place on Saturday, March 31st at Hickory Motor Speedway. The race will be 75-laps and will be the companion to the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) National Series race, the Easter Bunny 150.

“With the forecast looking almost certain for rain on Saturday, we want to save teams money and let them spend more time preparing for the Easter Bunny 150,” Renee Hackett Director of the Southern Modified Racing Series commented. “Most forecasts show rain during the day and into the night on Saturday with as much as a half inch predicted. That’s not a chance we want to take for our competitors especially with our next race just a week away.”

The Southern Modified Racing Series will head to Hickory Motor Speedway on March 31st and then will have two weeks off before going back to Caraway Speedway on April 14th for twin 50-lap races.
