DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour visits South Boston (Va.) Speedway on Saturday, April 13. Below is a statistical look at the recent performance of the tour and selected drivers at South Boston, as well as some other statistical trends:

South Boston Race Setup
• The Myers brothers account for the first two wins this season in the NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour, with Jason winning the season opener at Caraway Speedway and Burt taking the victory at Southern National Motorsports Park.
• By virtue of his second-place finish (Caraway) and fourth-place finish (Southern National), three-time and defending champion George Brunnhoelzl III leads the points.

NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour At South Boston Speedway
• This will mark the fifth annual visit by the tour to South Boston Speedway.
• South Boston Speedway opened as a quarter-mile dirt track, with its first race on August 10, 1957.The track began its association with NASCAR in 1960. The Mattioli family purchased the track in 2000.
• The four tour events at South Boston featured four different race winners – Andy Seuss (2009), James Civali (2010), Ted Christopher (2011) and Brandon Ward (2012).
• Three different tour drivers have won Coors Light Pole Awards at South Boston – George Brunnhoelzl III, Zach Brewer and L.W. Miller. Qualifying in 2011 was canceled due to rain.
• Andy Seuss has finished in the top five in three of the four tour events at South Boston, to lead that category.
• John Smith is the only driver to finish in the top 10 in all four tour races at South Boston.
• George Brunnhoelzl III has led the most laps of tour competition at South Boston, running out front for 161 laps.
• Among the seven drivers who competed in all four tour events at South Boston, Andy Seuss has the best average finish, at 5.25.
