Layne Riggs will look to turn a tumultuous season around later this evening, as his lap of 15.869 in qualifying earned him the pole for the inaugural Who’s Your Driver 125 at Langley Speedway.

Although Riggs has established himself as one of the best drivers in the CARS LMSC Tour, he has failed to secure a single Top 5 finish this year, with the season-opener at Southern National being the only race that Riggs has finished.

Riggs set the tone for the rest of the field on Saturday by topping the board in both practice sessions with a 16.060 and 16.046, respectively.

Defending series champion Bobby McCarty, who scored his first win of the season in the previous CARS LMSC Tour race at Motor Mile Speedway, followed Riggs closely through the two Saturday practices and will start the 125-lap Late Model feature on the outside of the front row.

Justin Carroll will start in the third position while Virginia Late Model veteran Brenden Queen will line up fourth in his CARS LMSC Tour debut. Current series points leader Josh Berry will start fifth, as he looks to rebound after being spun out of the lead at Motor Mile with only a handful of laps remaining.

RACE22.com has RACEDAY LIVE updates of the entire day’s action with the race starting at 7:00pm.
