Pro All Stars Series (PASS) President Tom Mayberry and event promoter Renee Hackett are pleased to announce an exciting partnership that will see the creation of a new series featuring the popular Tour-type Modifieds.

The Southern Modified Racing Series Presented By PASS will launch it’s inaugural season in 2016 and will feature the Tour-type Modifieds racing on some of the South’s most historic speedways.  The inaugural season will see the Southern Modified Racing Series Presented By PASS competing tentatively in 10 events, several of which will pair the new Modified division with the PASS South Super Late Models in an unprecedented series of races.

The first Southern Modified Racing Series Presented By PASS is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Hickory Motor Speedway as part of the 11th Annual Easter Bunny 150 weekend.  The Southern Modified Racing Series Presented By PASS will also race with the PASS South Super Late Models and the NASCAR Late Model Stocks at Anderson Motor Speedway on Friday night, June 17, 2016.  The inaugural Southern Modified Racing Series Presented By PASS champion will be crowned on Friday night, November 4, 2016, at Concord Speedway, the night prior to the 14th Annual North-South Shootout.  The PASS Super Late Model National and PASS South Super Late Model champions will be crowned the following day at Concord as part of the North-South Shootout.

“After a lot of inquiries from teams and drivers over the last several weeks, the Pro All Stars Series is happy to team up with Renee [Hackett] and her staff in the creation of the South’s most exciting new series,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry.  “We believe the Southern Modified Racing Series Presented By PASS, coupled with the PASS South Super Late Models at a number of venues, will give fans the opportunity to see the two most powerful divisions in short track racing competing together in some definite ‘can’t miss’ action.”

Renee Hackett has long shared a passion for short track racing, but the Tour-type Modifieds in particular.  She believes the partnership with PASS will give fans a truly unique motorsports experience.

“I think by working with Tom [Mayberry] and with what he has established over the last 15 years in short track racing that the Southern Modified Racing Series Presented By PASS will be a huge success right off the bat,” said Renee Hackett of the Southern Modified Racing Series Presented By PASS.  “The drivers and teams have asked for this series and we believe that everyone, especially the fans, are in for something big in 2016.”
