Sophia, NC —  The Farm Bureau Insurance Night began with an on-track autograph session as fans piled onto the speedway to visit with their favorite driver.  At 7pm the green flag flew for the first 50 Lap NASCAR Late Model Stock event and Bear Creek’s Dan Moore visited victory lane for the first time this season.  Randleman’s Ryan Wilson, Atlanta, GA’s Robert Tyler, Kernersville Mack Little III and Silver Valley’s Gene Kepley rounded out the top five finishers.

In the second 50 Lap NASCAR Late Model Stock twin event Wilson battled his way to victory lane, his first of the season.  Moore, Little III, Snow Camp’s Gary Causey and Kepley rounded out the top five finishers.

In the 150 Lap Nascar Whelen Southern Modified Tour event Lexington’s Brian Loftin took home his first win of the season.  It was an emotional win as his teamed rallied behind him after he lost his wife Melissa just a little over a year ago in an automobile accident. LW Miller, Daniel Hemric, Tim Brown and Danny Bohn rounded out the top five finishers.

In the BK Auto Limited Late Model event Junior Kendrick of Thomasville was flagged the winner but was protested by second place finishers Carl Auman of High Point.  The protest is still under inspection and official results will follow once complete.

Adam Burton won the 25 Lap Legends event followed by Austin Thompson, Keven Wood, Justin Morton and Brandon McKenzie rounding out the top five.

In the 25 lap Street Stock event Danny Brewer of Lexington celebrated his first win of the season.  Keith Graham, Larry Isenhower, Jimmy Cooper and Michael Worthington rounded out the top five finishers.

In the Auto & Metal Recycler Hornets event Allen Gauldin celebrated his first career win.  In the Auto & Metal Recycler U-Cars event Tommy Williams took home the win.

Tyler McDonald captured his second consecutive Mini Truck win.  Michael Wells won the Bib’s Downtown Mini Stock event followed by the top five finishers of Andrew Sanders, Jason Tutterow, Zack Bralley and Andrew Durham.

The next event at the speedway will be Saturday Night at 7pm featuring a 50 Lap Late Model Super Truck event along with a 40 Lap Street Stock event, 30 Lap Lowder Construction Sportsman, 20 Lap Bib’s Downtown Mini Stocks, 25 Lap Legends, 15 Lap Auto & Metal Recycler U-Cars and 10 Lap Auto & Metal Recycler Hornets.  Grandstands open at 5pm.  Trackside Parking gate opens at 3pm.  Adult Admission $10 each kids 7-14 years $5 each and 6 and under free.  For additional information hit the web atcarawayspeedway.com or contact the speedway office at 336-629-5803.
