Track PR report by Chase Brashears

Coeburn, VA(November 29, 2012) – After a great 2012 season which celebrated the 40th season of racing at Lonesome Pine Raceway (LPR), the track is set for a strong 2013 season. The first green flag of the season will wave April 6, 2013 for Food City Night at The Pine.  There will be many special events coming to LPR in 2013 such as Monster Trucks on May 4, 2013, the second annual Freedom Bash on July 6, 2013 and our annual Mod Madness race in October. Also new to LPR in 2013 will be the Powder Puff division.  The Powder Puff division will have six races throughout the season and will also be racing for a championship. The Street Stock and Renegade divisions will have new names for next season; the Street Stocks will be Super Streets and the Renegades Pure Street. The full schedule is available at the LPR website www.thepineraceway.com, also follow us on Facebook (Lonesome Pine Raceway) and Twitter (@LPRaceway). Information on rule books an

Editor’s Note: There is no UARA-STARS Series race on the schedule this year.  That could be that they’re working with the UARA and don’t have a date or they could actually remove a long standing track from the schedule.  They had originally not had a date on the 2012 schedule and eventually added a date.  Hopefully they will continue to compete at LPR.
