SHENANDOAH, VA :: Promoter Jeffrey Thielscher of KT Racing has announced the inaugural “Racing for Wishes 150” to be held Friday April 24th at Shenandoah Speedway in Shenandoah, Virginia.  Not only will $6,000 be awarded to the race winner, but $3 from every ticket will benefit Make-A-Wish of Greater Virginia.

The event is strategically scheduled during the major racing weekend in Virginia.  A total purse of over $13,000 is posted including $6,000 to the winner of the 26 car feature event.  Shenandoah Late Model rules will be enforced, which are nearly identical to the NASCAR Late Model Stock Car rules.

Shenandoah Speedway is a ten year old 3/8ths mile oval with infield pits and a motocross track on the property.  The state of the art track hosts Saturday night weekly races, and its weekly Legends division will also join the action during the Racing for Wishes.  The 911 Race, A special race for first responders, is also planned.

“The minute I saw this track, I was blown away,” Thielscher said.  “To help support a great cause, and bring more fans and drivers into the Shenandoah Valley is a win-win!”

Rules and entry information are available at RacingForWishes.com  Pit gates will open at 1 p.m. with grandstands opening at 4 p.m. and racing at 6 p.m.  General admission tickets will be $15 at the gate.  All active military and first responders will be admitted free with ID!  Pit passes will be available for $30.

Entry for the Late Model race is $50 per car (does not include driver).  Entry and rules questions may be directed to Jeff Thielscher at (661) 428-0911.
