After scoring his first career Late Model victory in the Race Face Tel-Med 300 at Hickory Motor Speedway on June 13, Corey Heim continued his momentum by securing the pole for the Hampton Heat 200 with a lap of 15.605.
Heim had to withstand a strong run from Greg Edwards, who will line up on the outside of the front row. Jared Fryar qualified third with a 15.649, while Bobby McCarty and Danny Edwards rounded out the Top 5.
Several former winners of the Hampton Heat 200 found themselves in the middle of the pack for tonight’s main event. Defending winner Connor Hall will start 13th, while CE Falk III will pursue his fourth Hampton Heat 200 victory from the 18th position.
