Timmonsville, SC(August 26th, 2012) — A two week break came to and end Saturday night when the stock cars returned to the speedway for the second time in the month of August.  Michael Elliott brought his A game and layed down a blistering 17.76 second lap time in qualifying to claim the pole, Averitt Lucas would start outside of him.  Lucas would grab the top spot on the start of the race, but Elliott would hang tough and on a late race restart, Elliott would make his move to claim the lead and cruise to victory over Lucas, Christian PaHud, Strom Altman Sr and Archie Adams Sr.

Wayne Locklair and Michael Elliott would put on a heck of a show in the Super Stock division.  Elliott tried everything he could to get around Locklair for the win, but Locklair would prove to be too strong and win another race in the division.  Elliott would come home second, Will Hutson was third.  Brian Tadlock and Tyler Price would battle for the top running Street Stock car, with both drivers doing everything they could to out run the other.  Tadlock would come home fourth with Price fifth.

Kevin Jackson has been the man in the Stock 4 Cylinder division when he races, but Saturday night, luck didn’t fall his way as he ran out of gas with just five laps to go, handing the race lead over to Toby Milligan.  Milligan would have to survive a few restarts, but would cruise to his second victory of the season.  Josh Lee, Bobby Tumbleston Sr, Mike Staffod and Emory Herring would round out the top five.

The Late Models return to action next week with another race in the points series.  Also racing will be the Super Stock, Stock 4 Cylinders and a special Shriner Bomber race for the Bomber/UCARS. Admission to the grandstand is just $10, with admission to the pits just $20.  Racing action kicks off around 8:30 PM.
