FAIRLAWN, VA :: Track titles will not be the only championships contested Sunday evening in the CMC Supply Twin 125s.

The closest points battle entering Championship Night at Motor Mile Speedway is a duel for supremacy in the inaugural Dirty Dozen. Official point standings released Thursday reveal a deadlock, with Lee Pulliam and Deac McCaskill tied at 528 points apiece after 11 events at Motor Mile Speedway and Southern National Motorsports Park.

The Dirty Dozen is structured to collect a driver’s best six “twin format” finishes at each venue. McCaskill edged Pulliam at Southern National Motorsports Park by 30 markers following the season finale Saturday night, 268 to 238, respectively.

Coupled with the outcome at Southern National Motorsports Park, current results at Motor Mile Speedway have staged a winner-take-all shootout entering the final event of the series. With 260 points at Motor Mile Speedway, McCaskill has the most to gain. McCaskill’s worst outing to date is a sixth place finish on August 2nd, netting a meager 36 points. A 38-point night on August 10th could also be dropped.

Pulliam, meanwhile, has tallied first-place finishes in every Dirty Dozen contest, for the lone exception of a fifth place finish on June 2nd that credited the team with 44 points. If trends continue, this is Pulliam’s only opportunity to increase his points total.

Saturday night’s car count will be instrumental in deciding the outcome. A smaller field will favor McCaskill; Pulliam needs a 23-car field before he can pad his points total.

The nation’s top two Late Model drivers are competing for a $3,000.00 top prize. The top five placeholders finish in the money. Standings, current as of 9/19, are listed below.
