Client PR Release

Oak Hill, WV(October 12, 2012) – After a disappointing 20th place finish at Kingsport Speedway a month ago and a 22nd place finish at Concord Speedway, Sammy Jasper is hoping to turn things around at Tri-County Motor Speedway by turning in a strong performance.

Jasper is looking to this weekend for a breakout performance as the UARA-STARS series heads in to Tri-County Motor Speedway where the 2012 season is winding down. Jasper finished second at Kingsport Speedway back in May and would like to repeat that performance, or finish one position better. But since then, he’s only had one top-10 finish.

“We’re looking forward to getting back on the track at Tri-County,” Jasper said. “The last few races have been a struggle but we know we have the car and team to get the job done. We just need a little bit of luck on our side, but we can only control the car and our own race. Hopefully we can run a clean race and have a solid finish.”

Jasper’s last race at Kingsport wasn’t that bad of a day overall. He turned in the fifth fastest time in qualifying. Now, the young driver, led by veteran crew chief Ed Berrier, is hoping to qualify well and perform well all night on Saturday at Tri-County.

“Hopefully, things will go a little better for us this weekend,” Jasper said. “We’re working hard on our program and we’re hoping to finish in the top five and possibly contend for the win on Saturday night.”
