Timmonsville, SC(October 9th, 2012) – Championship battles in the Late Model and Stock 4 Cylinder division will be on the line this Saturday night at Florence Motor Speedway. Double points will be on the line in all divisions, giving several drivers a chance at a championship.
In the Late Model division, Averitt Lucas, the 2012 track champion holds a twenty point lead over Archie Adams Sr. Ronnie Daniels is third just seventy points out. Those three are the only competitors that have a shot at the championship.
Wayne Locklair has locked up the Charger division with a three hundred point lead over Will Hutson in second. This is Locklair’s second consecutive track championship.
In the Stock 4 Cylinder division, Bobby Tumbleston Sr holds a slim twenty point lead over Toby Milligan. Those two will settle the championship among themselves as Josh Lee in third is over one hundred and ninety points behind.
Racing action on Saturday night will kick off at 6:30 PM with qualifying for the Late Models and heat races for the Chargers and Stock 4 Cylinders. Feature racing begins following heat races with the Chargers, Stock 4 Cylinders and Late Models.
Grandstand admission is $10 for adults, kids 8 to 12 years old is $5 and kids under 8 will be admitted free. Pit admission is $20.
