ALTAMAHAW, NC :: 28 drivers representing seven different tracks, including three 2014 track champions, are pre-entered as of today and will be a part of the field that takes part in the Third Annual Mischa Sell Memorial benefiting the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation on October 11th.

Jason Payne from Ace Speedway, Taylor Stricklin from Hickory Motor Speedway and Danny Willis, Jr. from South Boston Speedway are among the championship drivers expected to compete in the race. NASCAR K&N Pro Series East competitor Ronnie Bassett, Jr. and series newcomer John Holleman IV will also compete in the race. Dillon Bassett, who won Late Model races at several tracks in 2014 including Ace Speedway, multi-track champion Mack Little, two-time track champion Boo Boo Dalton and former Bowman Gray Stadium champion Robbie Brewer are also entrants in the event. 17 of the drivers who have pre-registered for the race have visited victory lane in 2014.

“I’m excited to see this event continue to grow,” Mischa Sell Memorial promoter/organizer David Sell said. “Every year, I have seen more and different competitors come to participate. I think this race is well on its way to be a yearly talked about event like the Martinsville event, the Bobby Isaac and Dwight Huffman races and the Myrtle Beach 400.”

Jason Payne, who won the Limited Late Model championship at Ace Speedway, is guaranteed a starting position by virtue of his win in one of the four Mischa Sell Memorial Qualifiers that were held during the summer. Mike Looney (Franklin County), Daniel Moss (South Boston) and Mike Looney (Southern National) are also locked in to the feature race if they choose to compete.

The Mischa Sell Memorial has become one of the biggest Limited Late Model races on the East Coast.  The 2014 Mischa Sell Memorial will be held on Saturday, October 11th at Ace Speedway.
