COEBURN, VA :: The largest field of Late Model Stock Cars in years was on hand Saturday for twin 50 lap races. Chad Finchum dominated both LMSC races. Finchum also drove to victory in the first Late Model race on Friday at Kingsport (TN) Speedway.
Brian Blevins rocketed his No. 97 to the lead on the first of 50 laps.
The caution waved on lap 24 for a spin in turn two. Back under green, Finchum would take the lead and dominate the remaining laps to claim the win.
Kres Vandyke started on point for the second LMSC race after the field was inverted three positions.
Brian Blevins would use the outside lane to take the lead early in the race. Debris in turn two brought out the first yellow flag on lap four.
Finchum would take his No. 19 to the lead on the restart. On lap 12, Ryan Stiltner began to gain on second-place Brian Blevins. Stiltner would clear Blevins and move into second on lap 14.
A spin in turn four on lap 45 reset the field for a four lap shootout to the checkered.
Finchum and Stiltner battled side-by-side coming to the white flag. The two would dive into turn three, but Stiltner would get loose exiting the corner, allowing Finchum to cross the line first.
