MARTINSVILLE, VA – South Boston Speedway announced their 2020 schedule on Saturday – a 14 race schedule which includes their mid-summer highlight and the CARS Tour.

The 2020ac season will get underway on Saturday afternoon, March 21st with twin Late Model Stock Car races joining the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.  The season will then continue on April 4th with the first night race of the season.

The summer highlight, the Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200, will take place on Saturday, June 27th.  The Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200 will be the opening leg of the three race Virginia Triple Crown Series.  The 2020 points season will end on September 5th and the CARS Tour will close out the season at South Boston on September 19th.

“We’re excited about our schedule for next year,” South Boston Speedway general manager Cathy Rice said.  “This year was a great year.  We’re looking for a bigger year next year.  Our competition is phenomenal and we hope to have more back with us next year.”

With the exception of the CARS Tour race and the Thunder Road Harley-Davidson 200, races will either be 75-lap twin races or 100-lap feature race.

Rice said she hopes not to have any schedule conflicts with Motor Mile Speedway or Langley Speedway in 2020.
