PENSACOLA, FL :: From top-to-bottom, the entry list for the 2015 Snowball Derby may be the most impressive lineup in the history of Super Late Model racing.

To date, 67 entries spanning all four corners of North America have entered the Super Bowl of Short Track Racing. Included are champions from numerous sanctioning bodies, NASCAR superstars and contenders from a variety of disciplines.

Highlighted by defending winner John Hunter Nemechek, the list also includes former Derby winner and NASCAR champion Chase Elliott, K&N East champ William Byron, as well as Johanna Long, Daniel Hemric and Christopher Bell.

All told, the best short track drivers in the world have descended upon Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida in pursuit of the Tom Dawson Trophy. In fact, track promoter and co-owner Tim Bryant believes his event, entering its 48th consecutive season, is still growing with each passing winter.

“We are just so delighted to see the interest in this year’s Snowball Derby from all of the racers sending in their entries,” Bryant said. “The interest in the Derby continues to grow each year and we are hard at work to make sure that our facility is top-notch when everyone arrives.”

In addition to the $20,000 prize that will go to the winner, Snowball Derby marketing partner Speed51.com has also put up three $551 regional bounties for the best finishing drivers from each part of the country.

A team from the Midwestern states of Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin are eligible to collect that specific bonus. Teams from the Northeastern states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Vermont and Rhode Island will have their own.

Meanwhile, 51 has also introduced a West Coast bounty of $551 for the best finishing team from Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah and Washington.

Snowball Derby week begins on Wednesday, December 2 with the Green Flag Party and a qualifying pill draw — both on the frontstretch of the famed Florida half-mile. Practice for the Late Models and racing for local divisions kicks-off on Thursday, December 3.

A majority of the field will be locked-in on Friday, December 4 during Snowball Derby Pole Night while the Last Chance Race will take place on Saturday, December 5 prior to the Snowflake 100 Pro Late Model feature.

All that remains afterwards is the green flag for the 48th Annual Snowball Derby — which will drop at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, December 6.

The complete entry list has been provided below. It’s not out of the question that a few more could be filed in the days leading up to race week, so this should be treated as a provisional listing.
