Event PR Report

Mooresville, NC(January 17, 2013) — The region’s racers are only one week away from seeing the best deals of the season at the Charlotte Racers Expo trade show and auction event next weekend, January 25-26. Whether competitors choose to race on dirt or asphalt, there will be new and pre-owned parts and equipment for sale at both the trade show (new) and up for bids in the auction (pre-owned and new).

The Charlotte Racers Expo is in its second year of existence and has expanded since the inaugural event. Over 70 different exhibitors will be in attendance, and more companies are committed to selling new merchandise in the trade show. Manufacturers will also be on hand to educate racers on their products, most of which will be for sale through authorized dealers at the event.

Bargain hunters will find what they are looking for not only in the trade show, but also in the auction. Over 1000 lot numbers will go across the auction block during the course of the two-day event. Overstock items from well-known parts retailers, pre-owned items from top-notch race teams, and manufacturer blemished or overrun products will all be available at the auction. Unlike other auctions in the region, the Charlotte Racers Expo features no buyer’s premium. Bidders pay the amount they bid in cash with no additional fees for buying. Buyers may also choose to pay with a credit card for a small processing fee.

“This event has already exceeded my expectations for growth in its second year,” said Larry McDaniels, promoter of the Charlotte Racers Expo. “We’ve had huge interest in the auction, and it’s all quality consignments – no junk or Cup stuff in our auction. The trade show has improved, too, with numerous exhibitors selling items at the show and taking orders for larger and custom items on-site. It really has become the one-stop shop to prepare for the upcoming race season.”

The Charlotte Racers Expo will open its doors at noon on Friday and run until 8pm that night. On Saturday, doors open at 8am and the event runs until 7:30pm. For the best new product selection, racers are encouraged to arrive early and purchase while inventory levels are still high. Auction previews also begin at least one hour prior to the start of bidding.

“We listened to both our exhibitors and our attendees after last year’s event,” said McDaniels. “We have breaks scheduled in the auction so that auction buyers have time to also browse and buy in the trade show. Most exhibitors are set up to take both cash and credit cards, so we want everyone to come prepared to buy so they don’t miss out on the deals offered.”

The Metrolina Tradeshow Expo plays host to the Charlotte Racers Expo each January. The facility is located at 7100 Statesville Road in Charlotte, NC.
