2013 Rookies Return for Sophomore Season

-2013 Air Flow Research Rookie of the Year winner Brady Boswell has registered for the upcoming 2014 season with plans to once again make a run at the championship as a sophomore in the series. The Watkinsville, Georgia driver scored seven top fives, fourteen top tens, and lead one hundred seventy-three laps in fourteen series starts a season ago en route to his title.

-Fellow series sophomore Eric Gerchak has also filled his 2014 series registration with the X-1R Pro Cup officials. Gerchak battled Boswell for the 2013 AFR Rookie of Year title all year long until late season mechanical problems cost him a chance at the title. Gerchak impressed critics throughout the season with his “being there at the end” driving style notching four top fives and capturing a MAHLE pole award at the Kingsport Speedway in August.
