McCallister Precision Marketing (MPM) and Nesbitt Racing Enterprises announce another top 3 for 15-year-old Texas driver, Cole Glasson, in the highly competitive Southeast Super Truck Series. Cole would enter the 10th race of the season sitting in the 3rd position just three points out of 2nd. While he would leave in the same position, he gained valuable points on all of the competitors around him with only two races left. Cole has put together a solid qualifying streak of 10 straight races qualifying in the top 5 and posted his 7th top 5 and 8th top 10 of the season.

Glasson would begin the day with bad luck as a broken ball joint sidelined him as soon as the first practice began. His team worked quickly to get prepared for the next practice where Glasson would post the 2nd quickest time in the 19-truck field. He would follow it up with another top 2 practice time in the final practice. During qualifying, Cole would post the 3rd fastest lap only hundredths off the pole sitter. When the race started, Glasson would quickly move into 2nd where he stayed for the majority of the race until he began to fall off during the long run. He would eventually be passed by a charging Randy Porter and would settle for his third top 3 of the season.

Glasson stated, “The team gave me a really fast truck and this is the one time I was hoping for a late caution. We lost some grip on the long run and my brakes overheated. I think if we had regrouped and things had cooled down we could have had a better result. I am sill pleased with another Top 3.” He went on to thank his sponsors of Starkey Mortgage, ProSoap, AM Technical Solutions, MPM Marketing, Driven Steering Wheels, K1RaceGear, Dallas Karting Complex, Comet Cleaners, and Real Sports Websites.

Tonya McCallister, Glasson’s agent, states “We had a good run and with two races left, still have a very good shot at the runner up position for the championship which is what we are after.”  Martin Nesbitt, Team owner, went on to say, “We had another very fast truck but just missed the long run setup and came up short, but we had a top 3 truck all weekend from the moment we rolled it out of the trailer.”
