Moonshine Capital Promotions will resume operation of Franklin County Speedway beginning in 2016.

Langley and Kimberly Austin have reached a deal with Franklin County Speedway owner, Donald “Whitey” Taylor to operate the track during the 2016 season and beyond. The Austin’s operated the track from April 2013 to June 2014 before departing operations.

“We’re excited to return to home,” said promoter Langley Austin. “This track is where I grew up, it’s where I learned about racing and promotion. Having the chance to return to promoting the track is a dream come true.”

Austin feels that this opportunity will be even better than the last one.

“Coming back feels so good. This is the opportunity of a lifetime. Not many people get a second chance and we intend to make this upcoming season the best the track has had in a longtime. It’s time to make Franklin County Speedway great again and that’s exactly what we’re going to do.”

Moonshine Capital Promotions has already begun preparing for the 2016 season with a schedule expected to be finalize this week.

“We’re about 90% finished with our schedule and we’re already working on promotions for each of the events. We will schedule rules meetings to get everyone on the same page and announce a couple of new divisions we’ll be creating or bringing to Franklin County Speedway this season.”

“We’re pulling out all of the stops this season,” continued Austin. “I learned a lot in my time here before and even more with our races at Ace Speedway and working at Southern National Motorsports Park. It’s amazing what you can learn at other tracks that can translate here that you would have never thought of without the experience.”
