Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway will sill race on Thursday, April 11th with a 200-lap Late Model Stock Car feature, replacing the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown which was canceled by event organizers earlier this week.

Bill Mullis, owner of Langley Speedway, told The Daily Press the race would have a format similar to the Hampton Heat 200 and would have a purse that is larger than a regular Late Model race.

“Our real commitment is to grassroots racing,” Mullis told The Daily Press’ Marty O’Brien. “The Late Model drivers have already made plans to drive in a race for NASCAR (weekly series) national points and we’re going to give it to them.”

The race title, format, and purse will be announced in the coming weeks.
