DAYTONA BEACH, FL :: The NASCAR K&N Pro Series West visits Brainerd (Minn.) International Raceway on Saturday, May 25. Below is a statistical look at the recent performance of the series and selected drivers at Brainerd, as well as some other statistical trends:

Brainerd Race Setup
• Derek Thorn, in his second full season of series competition, has jumped to an early four-point lead in the championship standings after two of 15 events this year.
• The first three races on this year’s series schedule test the versatility of the drivers and teams with varied venues. Those three events feature the one-mile intermediate track at Phoenix International Raceway, the quarter-mile short-track of Stockton (Calif.) 99 Speedway and the road course of Brainerd International Raceway.
• The Brainerd race is the first of three road course events on the schedule for 2013. The series circuit travels to Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway on June 22 and to Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah on Sept. 14.

NASCAR K&N Pro Series West At Brainerd
• This marks the second series event at Brainerd International Raceway, following last year’s inaugural visit.
• The track – located 5.2 miles north of State Route 210 on State Route 371 – is a multipurpose facility, with a road course and a quarter-mile drag strip.
