Hickory Motor Speedway will make some changes to their 2015 race schedule beginning this weekend March 14th, 2015 ” stated General Manager Kevin Piercy.

After fielding multiple calls from competitors and fans, Hickory Motor Speedway has added an additional $1, 000.00 dollars to the regular Saturday Night purse and beginning this Saturday Night all NASCAR Whelen All American Series Bojangles Late Models races will be 100 laps in length.

Piercy added, “You have to be willing to listen and make changes when necessary, We have felt for some time that we needed more support on our 50 lap events and after last Saturday Nights opener it was obvious what needed to be don.e”

The new purse will now pay $1,500 for the win and has been increased throughout the field to be similar to The Paramount Kia “Big 10” events. The Paramount Kia “Big 10” Racing Challenge will remain at $2,000 for the win.

The Paramount Kia “Big 10” Racing Challenge is a 10 Race Championship Series within the overall NASCAR Whelen All American Series Championship at Hickory Motor Speedway and will still provide additional purse money for the Top 4 finishers in the NWAAS Bojangles Late Models and additional season ending point funds to be distributed among the Top 3 Paramount Kia “Big 10” Racing Challenge finishers.

Also on tap for this Saturday Night will be the T- Mobile Limited Late Models for 35 laps. The T- Mobile Limited Late Models have become a fan favorite for the competitors and the Hickory Motor Speedway fans. Other divisions on the schedule will be the Smokeys Super Trucks for 35 laps, Street Stocks for 30 laps, and the Classic Sportsman Racing Series for 25 laps.
