Guaranteed Starting Spot on the Line at Myrtle Beach this Weekend

Myrtle Beach, SC(October 1, 2012) — The final of the “Dash for Cash” Myrtle Beach 400 Invitational races will take place on Saturday, October 6th for the final guaranteed starting position in the November race.

Three of the four guaranteed starting spots in the top six in the Myrtle Beach 400 have already been awarded to winners of the three previous invitational races. Justin Milliken, Sam Yarbrough and Coleman Pressley have already earned their starting positions with previous victories and the winner of this weekends race will join them and the top two qualifiers in time trials for the Myrtle Beach 400.

Among the drivers still looking for a guaranteed starting position is Myrtle Beach Speedway’s 2012 track champion and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series South Carolina State Champion, Anthony Anders. Anders, who was only able to secure one win on his way to his track championship has been close in the extra distance “Dash for Cash” races and is looking to get that guaranteed starting spot this Saturday night in the 100-lap race on “Breast Cancer Awareness Night”.

He’s not alone in search of the guaranteed starting position as other track regulars are eyeing the prize this Saturday night including Jamey Lee, Jeremy McDowell, Stuart Ricks, Jake Engle and more. With a large field of cars expected additional practices have been scheduled on Friday, October 5th and another short one on Saturday, due to the number of drivers requesting extra practice.

In addition to the final of the “Dash for Cash” Myrtle Beach 400 Invitational races for the Late Model division, the Frank Kimmel Street Stock Series will make their first trip to Myrtle Beach Speedway. The Charger and Mini Stock divisions will also be competing on the night.
