McCallister Precision Marketing (MPM) and Nesbitt Racing Enterprise announce another top 10 finish for 13 year old Cole Glasson in the fifth point’s race of the Southeast Super Truck Series at Kingsport Speedway. During practice, Cole quickly picked up the track and was sitting in P5 after both practice sessions of the 17 truck field. However, during qualifying, he could not muster enough speed and would find himself starting inside row 6 (P11) for the main event. At the drop of the green flag, one of the front trucks missed a gear and caused a major pileup on the inside line collecting the #12 ProSoap / AMTS machine. With a severely damaged truck, Cole would have to return to the pits for the crew to work hard to get the youngster back out on the track around 35 laps into the race. Cole would stay clear of traffic and run consistent times to secure his fifth top 10 finish of the year and remain in contention for both the championship and rookie of the year titles with 7 races left. Currently, Cole is sitting 2nd in the rookie of the year chase, 6 points back, and 6th in the overall championship 11 points back.

Glasson stated, “I felt really good about our truck as I was running top five throughout practice so I know we could have competed for a top spot; unfortunately, a race incident had something different to say- happy that the team worked so hard to get me back out there and secure my fifth top 10 finish of the year.” He went on to thank his main financial sponsors of ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions as well as his many other sponsors K1RaceGear, Dallas Karting Complex, Comet Cleaners, R&B Graphics, and Real Sports Websites. “I cannot thank ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions enough for their continued support in 2014, and we look forward to rebounding at the next race at Newport Speedway in another couple of weeks.”

Tonya McCallister, Glasson’s agent, states “Not how we wanted to start the race off, but the team worked incredibly hard to get us back out there and we were still able to secure a top 10 finish and stay in contention for both the championship and rookie of the year.” Martin Nesbitt, Team owner, went on to say, “We were disappointed that both our trucks suffered severe damage and cost us some crucial points; however, that is racing and we are hopeful luck will turn our way the remaining seven races. We are confident both drivers have some great results coming.”
