CHARLOTTE, NC :: McCallister Precision Marketing (MPM) and Nesbitt Racing Enterprise announce a hard fought top ten run for 14 year old Cole Glasson in the tenth points race of the Southeast Super Truck Series at Newport Speedway.

During practice, Cole was again a top 5 truck in the sessions. He fell off a little in qualifying posting a P6 but still very close to the leader’s time.

At the green flag, Cole battled with the top five trucks wheel to wheel until a mistake caused him to spin and take a heavy side impact. Another caution had Cole sustaining heavy front end damage. Cole fell as far back as 11th twice, but after another caution, found himself in 3rd and would not waste any time to battle for the front.  When they encountered lap traffic, luck would not be on his side and would again find himself restarting P6 with only a few laps remaining. This is where he took the checkered flag and his 9th top 10 finish in 11 races.

Currently, Cole is sitting 2nd in the rookie of the year chase- 12 points back and 4th in the overall championship race, only two points out of 3rd in a very tight top five race.

Truck owner and crew chief, Mart Nesbitt stated, “Cole continues to improve on the track. We know it is only a matter of time before we are in victory lane.”

Glasson stated, “I continue to learn every race and get better in my driving ability. I made some mistakes tonight that cost me and had some bad luck. Good news is that we were still very fast and capable of a top 3 finish.” He went on to thank his main financial sponsors of ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions as well as his many other sponsors K1RaceGearDallas Karting ComplexComet Cleaners, and Real Sports Websites.

“I cannot thank ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions enough for their continued support in 2014, and we look forward to the next race at Tri County Speedway in two weeks and chasing our first win of the season.”

Tonya McCallister, Glasson’s agent, states, “Cole drove another great race. Despite an early mistake that sent him to the back of the field, he found himself restarting 3rd with 25 laps to go. He was able to still contend with a heavily damaged front end. It was just one of those nights.”
