DILLON, SC :: Dillon Motor Speedway’s 5th Annual New Year’s Saturday 300 BASH Presented by Raceway Automotive that showcased an event record car count was rained out this past weekend and postponed until Saturday, January 10.

Over 110 cars were set to compete on Saturday but will have to wait until this weekend. There were so many race cars that the infield overflowed and teams had to set up shop in the parking lot. The premier feature of the event is the $2,000 to win Street Stocks race that had an entry list of 42 competitors who came as far away as Wisconsin, New Jersey and New Hampshire.

Other features included in this weekend’s festivities are the Chargers, Pure Stock Fours, Four Cylinder Mayhems and dirt cars on asphalt. Thanks to Raceway Automotive, a GM 602 crate engine will be given away by drawing to a lucky competitor.

Unlike last weekend that featured a two-day event, this weekend will be Saturday only. Practice begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by qualifying at 12:15 p.m. and the green flag at 2:30 p.m.
