CHARLOTTE, NC :: McCallister Precision Marketing (MPM) and Nesbitt Racing Enterprise announce another solid performance for 13 year old Cole Glasson in the second points race of the Southeast Super Truck Series at Anderson Motor Speedway.

Cole showed up leading the Rookie title race by only one point.  During practice, Cole quickly picked up the racing line, gained speed each time out, and consistently ran in the top 5 in times. Cole was .17 off pole in qualifying, which placed him in the 8th position in a tight field. Starting on the outside when the green flag dropped, Cole found himself shuffled back to the 11th position before falling in line and beginning his hard charge towards the front. By lap 50, he was passing for the 2nd position.  On a restart on lap 51, Cole was caught up in a race incident that sent him to the back of the lead lap.

When the field took the restart, Cole was on a mission to work his way back to the front. Quickly passing through the field, Cole was back in the top 5 with 15 laps to go. Taking the checkered flag, Cole finished the race in 3rd position and earning his first top 5 finish in his short full size stock career. His solid results in the first two point’s races has him leading the Rookie of the Year title by 11 points and moving into 3rd spot for the Series Championship. While still a long way to go, the team feels good with Cole’s results thus far.

Glasson stated, “I am excited with my results this weekend. My crew worked extremely hard to get the truck dialed in. During the race I was able to get into a groove and pick up spots throughout the race.  I am extremely happy with my 3rd place finish.” He went on to thank his main financial sponsors of ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions as well as his many other sponsors K1RaceGear, Dallas Karting Complex, Comet Cleaners, R&B Graphics, and Real Sports Websites. “I cannot thank ProSoap and AM Technical Solutions enough for their continued support in 2014, and we look forward to building on the results at the next race at Lonesome Pine Raceway in a couple of weeks.”

Tonya McCallister, Glasson’s agent, states “We are extremely pleased with the results and while we did not get the win, we are getting closer and closer to being in contention. Cole was extremely fast all night and definitely showed he could run at the front in the series. ” Martin Nesbitt, Team owner, went on to say, “Cole had great results in the race, and we are getting the truck set up for him and believe we will continue to build on the early success. We have two great young drivers and we are excited about what the rest of the season may bring us.”
