KNOXVILLE, TN :: Chad Finchum scored his second win of the season at the Texas Roadhouse Night at the Races at Kingsport Speedway on Friday night.  Finchum had the fastest car all night at Kingsport Speedway and set the fastest lap in qualifying.

Finchum started the race in fourth after the top four cars were inverted for the 60 lap Late Model feature.  It only took Finchum six laps to work his way to the top spot.  Once Finchum took the lead, he never relinquished it, leading 54 laps on his way to his second win of 2013.

“We were the fastest car here all day,” said Finchum.  “We got the lead on lap six and never looked back.  There were only two cautions and we were able to build up a lead that was over a straightaway over the second place finisher.”

Finchum set the pace all night long at the Concrete Jungle.  His car was over a tenth of a second faster than the rest of the field in practice and he qualified on the pole.

“The cool thing about tonight was that it was Texas Roadhouse sponsoring the race here at the track and it was Father’s Day.  It was also my first NASCAR Pole Award.  And we won the race to cap it all off.  It was just an awesome night for us.”

Finchum has two wins, seven top five finishes and 13 top 10 finishes in 2013.  Entering Friday night’s race, he was tied for the NASCAR Whelen All American Tennessee State Championship points lead and was leading the Late Model point standings at Kingsport Speedway.

Finchum’s next race will be on Friday night, June 21st at Kingsport Speedway.
