PUNTA GORDA, FL :: “Let us not stand on ceremony, Mr. Wayne.”

Bruce Wayne scored the victory in the Street Stock feature during another beautiful night of racing at Three Palms Speedway in Punta Gorda, Florida.  Wayne went to the back of the field and returned to the lead in the race. He held on over Mike Kerrivan who finished second. Jeff Firetre and Richard Nelson finished third and fourth respectively.

The Pure Stock feature was the first race of the evening and Codey Benoit in his letter X car took the checkered after battling with Cody Allen for most of the race.

Benoit said in victory lane, “I noticed with laps winding down I had to get a move on.”

Benoit did his NASCAR style burnout after his victory lane photos. Cody Allen held on for second. Chris Loney finished third with Brian Hillyer rounding out the top four.

Savannah Skaggs took a hard hit off of turn four during the Outlaw 4’s feature. She was OK after being checked over by track personnel. Logan Allen from Lehigh Acres, Florida took the top spot followed by Kristen Milthaler in number 10 car. Wally Smith was third. Chris Milthaler (Kristen’s twin brother) finished fourth.

The traveling Outlaw Modified action two-time and defending champion of the series Mike Endee took the lead with less than five laps remaining to get the win.

He said, in victory lane, “It is great to be back here in Punta Gorda racing. We look forward to coming back here throughout the season.”

Richard Nelson from Punta Gorda Florida, pulling double duty in the nights action finished second. Third went to Paul Richard. Kevin Endee rounded out the top four.

In Bomber action, Dean Butrum, opening night feature winner, had his steering break and took a sharp right turn into the turn four wall. He was OK but the car likely is destroyed. Jeff took the checkers. Miller in his number 10 car was second. Ann Marie Ricardi from Naples, Florida was third. Jeff Pacheco was fourth.

Track put on a quick show again as all the action took little over three hours to complete. The Pro Trucks will be in action on the 31st of January with TQ Midgets, Street Stocks, Legends, Thunder Trucks and Pure Stocks. It will B.Y.O.S. or Bring Your Own Seat. Admission will be only five dollars to get in. Kis 12 and younger get in free.
