NEW SMYRNA BEACH FL :: A long season for Justin Boston starts off at New Smynra Speedway on Friday where he will compete with teammate Brandon Lynn.  The two will race in cars prepared by Roger Johnson and Performancenter Racing Warehouse.

Along with running the Super Late Model races at New Smyrna, Boston will compete in three NASCAR K&N Pro Series East races (Bristol, Dover and Rockingham), two races at Hickory Motor Speedway and the complete ARCA Racing Series tour.  Boston feels confident about the year ahead.

“It really feels like I’m accomplishing something now, especially since I haven’t had a (full time) ride the last two years,” Boston said.  “I ran some races at Hickory and ran the Martinville race, but to say you’ve run Daytona, that’s where everyone wants to be.  It’s what everyone watches and it’s the biggest event in ARCA.  You always want to race at Daytona no matter which race it’s in because you know what it means for your career.”

Boston will be racing in a car out of the Venturini stable along with former open wheel driver Milka Duno.  At Daytona, he will also have teammates in Darrell Wallace, Jr. and John Wes Townley.  Zloop Computer and Electronic Recycling Centers will sponsor Boston’s ARCA program.

“I think we have a good shot at Daytona,” Boston explained.  “The speed we had at the test, every Venturini car topped practice so I know it is good equipment.  Both cars we tested are fast.  Our backup car actually had more speed than the primary so we’ve decided to use that car.  We’ve got the speed to win the pole.  Key is to stick to the bottom.  I know (Bobby Gerhart) knows how to get to the front.  He’s had a lot of success there but I don’t see any reason we can’t stop him.”

Boston says he’s also excited about running the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing at New Smyrna Speedway and feels confident about winning some races there.  The World Series kicks off on Friday, February 15th.

Boston’s teammate for the World Series is 18 year-old Brandon Lynn.  Lynn also feels confident about his chances of recording some strong performances at New Smyrna.  Lynn is also sponsored by Zloop Computer and Electronic Recycling Centers.

“We expect to go down there and have a front running car and do our best and have some fun while we’re down there,” Lynn said.  “We expect to go down there and have a front running car.  We’ll do our best and have some fun while we’re down there.  I think we can run up front with Performancenter Racing is working on the car with their capabilities of making these Super Late Models run up front.

“I’d like to thank everyone at Zloop for giving me the chance to go down there and run for the week.  It should be a good time.”

The World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing starts on Friday night, February 15th.  The 50th running of the Lucas Oil 200 presented by MavTV for the ARCA Racing Series goes green on Saturday, February 16th at 4:30pm EST and is televised live on SPEED.
