DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Wednesday, March 21, 2012) – Harold Crook is getting pumped up and ready for the 2012 season at Lonesome Pine Raceway, an ASA Member Track in Coeburn, VA.  Crook is especially excited, as LPR will be entering their 40th season of racing on April 7.

“I am tickled to death and looking forward to the 2012 season,” Crook recently said.  “We are looking good with sponsors this year and have some great events planned for our 40th year of racing and we are excited to celebrate it under the ASA Member Track banner.”

Crook is more excited about their opening night on Saturday, April 7, which is sponsored annually by Food City.  “This year, we are having an Easter egg hunt for the kids and we are welcoming all military personnel (past, present and their families) by giving them free admission,” Crook announced. “We will also be having our annual tailgate party at the nearby Food City on Friday, April 6 from 4-6pm.”

Another item that Crook is excited about is returning as an ASA Member Track for their 40th season.  “We have a great relationship with Dennis Huth and everyone at ASA,” Crook exclaimed.  “They do everything they can to help their short tracks be successful and they are always available for advice and ideas.”

This year, LPR will also have a new premiere division with their Limited Late Models competing on the 3/8-mile asphalt oval. “We think this is going to be a great addition for us,” Crook said.  “So far, we have 23 drivers pre-registered to race with us this season.”

Along with the Limited Late Models, the Street Stocks, Mod 4’s, Pure 4’s, Renegades and Iron Warriors will be part of their weekly Saturday night program.  Plus, they will have special events as part of their racing program throughout the season.

“Everyone at ASA Racing congratulates Harold Crook and his staff at Lonesome Pine Raceway on their 40th year of short track racing,” Dennis Huth, ASA President said.  “We are very proud of our continued relationship with everyone at LPR.  Harold, himself, has helped us gain more ASA Member Tracks and we are very grateful of his enthusiasm for ASA Racing.  We wish them a very successful season.”
