Rodney Howard was five one hundreds from winning the pole for the season opener two weeks ago at Greenville Pickens Speedway, only to have Chase Purdy steal it away late.  Round two of qualifying was won by Howard as he picked up the pole for tonights Twin 75-lap Late Model Stock Car races.

Howard turned in a lap of 20.620 which was just a tick faster than Ryan Walker’s lap of 20.637.  Walker is making his first start at Greenville Pickens this season.  Dylan Hall qualified in the third position with a 20.710 which bested RD Smith’s 20.738.  Smith will be making his first career start at Greenville Pickens Speedway.

Pole winner from race one and winner of both of the twin races back on March 5th, rookie Chase Purdy posted the fifth fastest time of the day with a 20.743.  Neil Meredith qualified sixth with Randy Gentry, Anthony Alfredo, Lance Gatlin and Trey Gibson rounding out the top ten qualifiers.

Former track champion David Roberts was 11th with visiting drivers Landon Huffman and Tyler English in 12th and 13th.  Last weeks Limited Late Model winner Tasha Kummer qualified 16th of the 19 cars taking time in qualifying.

The Late Model Stock Cars will run twin 75-lap races tonight.
