Designs PR Release

Charlotte, NC(February 2, 2012) — During the recent Charlotte Racers Expo and Auction at the Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, NC, RACE22 Designs offered Racers and Business owners a chance to swing by their booth and enter to win a FREE website design.

RACE22 Designs was met with great results from the Charlotte Racers Expo as a number of racers from both asphalt and dirt racing stopped by the booth to enter for a free website.  The response was so overwhelming for the free drivers website that RACE22 Designs decided to break the entries into two categories and give away a website for both a dirt racer and an asphalt racer.

“The response we received was overwhelming,” said RACE22 Designs Lead Designer, Langley Austin.  “The Charlotte Racers Expo and the auction that was held, really drew in the racers and not just fans.  This enabled us to meet and talk with a bunch of racers and not just ones from our normal market in the Asphalt Late Model world.  So, we decided to be fair, we’d give a free website to both a dirt and asphalt racer.”

The response for the free business website was also strong as many of the vendors at the Charlotte Racers Expo put their business card in the jar for the free website.

“I thought the response for the free business website was pretty good too,” said Austin.  “We had a great response to the Charlotte Racers Expo overall and for us to get all these business and drivers to sign up for a free website was pretty cool.”

The business website ended up going to a business all too familiar with and RACE22 Designs as the UARA-STARS Series was drawn from the number of businesses that entered.  The UARA-STARS Series will receive a brand new website design courtesy of RACE22 Designs.

“I couldn’t help, but laugh when we drew the UARA’s business card out of the jar,” said Austin.  “I’ve known Kerry(Bodenhamer) since 2004 and have worked with the series over the years through our magazines and the news website to promote the series as much as possible.  I’m looking forward to building them a new website and working with the folks of the UARA-STARS Series.”

The UARA-STARS Series has asked that we delay building their new website until mid-summer, when the series won’t be as busy preparing for the upcoming season and will have time to learn the new system that RACE22 Designs uses to allow our clients to update their own website.  So look for an all-new sometime this summer.

On the drivers side, RACE22 Designs selected two racers, one dirt and one asphalt for the free website with the asphalt website going to Pete Foster of Rocky Mount, VA, who races at Franklin County Speedway in Callaway, VA and Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, VA.  The free website for dirt will go to Kenny Hodges, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, a racer at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, NC.

“We’re excited about designing new websites for the winners selected,” continued Austin.  “I’ve known Pete Foster for a long time with both of us growing up around Franklin County Speedway, but Kenny Hodges on the other hand, we only met this weekend at the trade show.  So, I’m looking forward to working with both of them to build them an online presence that they can proud of and hopefully use to secure sponsors and promote both their sponsors and their racing.”

RACE22 Designs has sent the winners the information and hopes to work together with the clients to develop the new websites in the coming months.  RACE22 Designs has also selected 10 more of the entries for the free drivers website to receive a $200 Gift Certificate, good towards any website package as well as several of the business website entries, who will receive a $200 Gift Certificate as well.
